Baritone

Greg gained a place in the National Youth Training Choir of Great Britain aged 11 and this very much shaped his career, as his primary choral experience.

At 16, he went on to study singing at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester with Deborah Catterall, then gained his bachelor degree from the Royal College of Music studying with Ashley Stafford.

Although this path geared him towards a solo career, during his time at the RCM, he became more and more interested in choral repertoire and realised his desire to direct choirs.

Greg has sung as guest soloist for choral societies across the country and has a wide and varied repertoire. He has sung with a number of groups including London Voices under Terry Edwards and Ben Parry, Philharmonia Voices under Richard Hickox and Esa-Pekka Salonen, The chamber choirs of RSM and RAM under Paul Spicer and Patrick Russill respectively, with Voces8 (in its very early days!) and Dieci Voices.

Greg is often asked to coordinate and sing in small ensembles for various private functions and for special services at the Dutch Church in London. Follow this link to a live-streamed ‘Nine Lessons and Carols’ service, December 2020.
